Scholarship Awareness Session

Under the guidance of Ms. Laraib Umer, the Department of Optometry and
Orthoptics organized a Scholarship Awareness Session for 1st Semester students.

The session was conducted by Ms. Mehak Shahzad, who guided students about different scholarship opportunities, eligibility criteria,
application procedures, and required documentation. Both merit-based
and need-based scholarships were discussed along with important requirements such as CGPA, attendance, and discipline.

The interactive session allowed students to ask questions and helped them better understand how to apply for and maintain scholarships
during their academic journey.

Career Counselling and Grooming Session

The Department of Optometry & Orthoptics, FRAHS organized a Career Counselling and Grooming Session for the Spring 2026 batch under the guidance of Dr. Laraib Umer (HOD O&O).

The Career Counselling Session, conducted by Ms. Tehmina Jafri, guided students about diverse career opportunities in Optometry at national
and international levels, including clinical practice, hospital-based optometry, research, academia, and the optical industry.

The Grooming Session, conducted by Ms. Iqra Shahzad, focused on academic progression and professional development. Students were informed about higher education opportunities such as MS/MPhil and PhD in Vision Sciences, specialization areas, and ways to build strong academic profiles through research, internships, and conferences.

The interactive sessions helped students gain valuable insight into career planning, academic growth, and future opportunities in
Optometry.
