Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University is determined to provide the best possible education and knowledge in different areas of health sciences. D) is offered by the Shifa College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (a constituent unit of the Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University), and is a five years professional degree program after F.Sc / A level. The curriculum is integrated and contextual in nature and designed precisely in line with the recommendations of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE, USA), Objective Based Education (OBE), Competency Based Education (CBE), Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP), Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the latest trends being followed in the various developed countries of the world. During the past 5 decades the profession of Pharmacy has attained great importance and significance, both nationally and internationally for ensuring the safe, effective and rational use of drugs, owing to the unprecedented demand of qualified pharmacist in various sectors like hospital pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, retail pharmacy and regulatory agencies. Pharmacists play a vital role in improving patient care through the medication and information they provide. In a survey recently conducted it is the second largest health profession in the United States. The facility developed in the SCPS-STMU includes laboratories for all domains of pharmaceutical sciences, lecture halls which are all equipped with latest audio visual aids, dedicated library, IT resource center, animal house, and botanical garden etc. The new facility has been inspected and granted accreditation/recognition by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP). Three batches of Pharm.D have graduated and are serving the community and industrial needs of the patients and country respectively.

This Summer, the Shifa College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, via Shifa Student Council, organized a Summer Soiree.

This event involved multiple games in which students could compete; namely chess, carrom, ludo and scrabble.

Students were also able to display their handmade crafts and food items in stalls in LH 5. This was an effective platform for them to demonstrate their creativity and business.

Overall, the Summer Soiree provided an excellent outlet for students to engage in both entertainment and entrepreneurship as well as create some memories in the process.

The ASM Student Chapter STMU has officially completed its first batch for the Summer Research Internship Program 2026!

A ceremony to distribute certificates to all the students was conducted, which was attended by faculty members including Madiha Madiha Ahmad and Dr. Damin Abbas Hamdani, the faculty mentor.

It was a successful ceremony that truly marked the start of something significant for the American Society of Microbiology STMU.

As part of its commitment to fostering educational excellence and professionalism in health professions education, the Shifa College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SCPS), Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, successfully conducted a faculty development workshop titled “Faculty as Role Models: Shaping Professional Behaviors.” The workshop was led by Dean (FPAHS) Prof. Dr. Tausif Ahmed Rajput and co-facilitated by Dr. Aisha Altaf and Dr. Iqra Hafeez.
Drawing upon his extensive academic leadership and experiential insights in higher education, Prof. Dr. Rajput guided faculty members through a highly engaging and reflective learning experience. Participants benefited from his visionary perspective on the transformative role of educators in shaping professional identity, ethical conduct, and workplace behaviors among future healthcare professionals.
Through interactive discussions, case-based scenarios, reflective exercises, and collaborative activities, faculty explored key concepts including role modeling, hidden curriculum, professional identity formation, and deliberate professionalism. The workshop emphasized that students learn not only from what educators teach, but also from the values, behaviors, and standards they consistently demonstrate.

The American Society of Microbiology Student Chapter is proud to announce the commencement of our very first summer internship program in collaboration with Shifa College of Pharmaceutical Sciences! 🧫🦠

American Society of Microbiology is an organization which works towards spreading awareness and education. It operates worldwide, and provides an excellent route through which students may gain knowledge and increase their understanding of a wide variety of topics.

During the program, students will learn different skills related to research, microbiology and animal handling that will equip them in the future. The internship is open to both pharmacy students at SCPS and students from other educational backgrounds. It is headed by faculty mentor Dr. Damin Abbas Hamdani, who is a capable and highly skilled PhD graduate from SCPS.🔬👩‍🔬
