🦷🐱 Dental Extraction in a Cat
Dental problems in cats can progress silently—from plaque and tartar buildup to gingivitis, periodontal disease, painful tooth resorption, and eventually damaged or worn teeth requiring extraction.
In this case, dental extraction surgery was performed to remove the affected tooth and help relieve pain and prevent further oral complications. 🩺✨
Prevention is better than extraction!
✔️ Regular dental check-ups
✔️ Routine brushing with cat-safe toothpaste
✔️ Appropriate dental diets/treats when recommended
✔️ Avoid very hard objects that can fracture or excessively wear teeth
✔️ Monitor for bad breath, drooling, difficulty eating, pawing at the mouth, or chewing on one side
✔️ Early treatment of tartar, gingivitis, and other dental disease
Healthy teeth mean a happier, more comfortable cat! 🐾❤️
