A Chance to Change

A Chance to Change A Chance to Change provides counseling services and programs for addiction and behavioral disorders. If you are in crisis please call 9-11 or the 2-11 Hotline.

We are an Oklahoma nonprofit Facing Mental Health, Addiction & Trauma, Creating Solutions, Celebrating Recovery. Our mission is to offer a chance to change lives affected by addictions and behavioral disorders. A Chance to Change Foundation was established in 1979 as an addiction treatment center, with an emphasis on helping the whole family. A Chance to Change Foundation operates its addiction tr

eatment, prevention, and education programs with the understanding that chemical dependency is a chronic disease that can be treated. ACTC believes that the family is also affected and often best results come from working with the entire family. We understand that substance abuse recovery requires ongoing support, and the agency refers to support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, and others. A Chance to Change counselors can consult with your doctor or other referral source according to your wishes. We provide complete assessments and will offer each client recommendations for the best sources of help for their individual needs. If the client has needs we cannot meet, we will help them find the right level of treatment. We strictly follow all laws and ethical standards for client confidentiality. This site is for educational information and communication purposes. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a month since Celebrations, we’re still reflecting on what a meaningful night it was. 🌟

Last month, A Chance to Change hosted its 16th annual Celebrations event, an evening that highlighted the impact of our work in counseling, education, and prevention. Every day, we remain committed to providing accessible, compassionate mental health and addiction recovery services for individuals and families across Oklahoma, helping people heal, grow, and move forward.

We were proud to honor two outstanding community partners who share this commitment. Steve and Barbara Young received the Jim McGuinness Award, and The Chickasaw Nation was recognized with the Community Impact Award.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event. Your support makes it possible for us to continue offering free and low-cost behavioral health services to those who need them.

Together, we Face Mental Health, Addiction, and Trauma, Create Solutions, and Celebrate Recovery. 💙💚

Today at 6:00 PM, Session 7 of our FREE Addiction Education Series

Our therapist, Carol Hendrick, will lead a conversation on recovering from codependency, looking at how people-pleasing, blurred boundaries, and caretaking roles can develop over time, and how they impact relationships. Together, you’ll explore ways to recognize these patterns, build healthier boundaries, and reconnect with your own needs and sense of self.
