Civil Hospital Karachi Receives Essential Hospital Equipment and Advanced Diagnostic Machines
Karachi, August 29, 2026:
A ceremony was held today at Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for the distribution of essential hospital furniture and medical equipment, along with the handing over of advanced diagnostic machines to various departments.
The ceremony was attended by Rauf Ahmed Nagori, General Secretary, Pakistan Peoples Party Karachi Division, as the Chief Guest.
During the ceremony, essential hospital furniture and equipment were distributed among different departments. Mammography and FibroScan machines were handed over to the Radiology Department, while advanced Randox Laboratory Machines were handed over to the Central Laboratory.
The Randox laboratory systems are advanced diagnostic platforms used internationally for a range of investigations, including clinical chemistry, multiplex immunoassay testing, toxicology and molecular diagnostics.
The availability of the Mammography machine will enhance the hospital's capacity for breast imaging and early detection of breast diseases, while the FibroScan will support the non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis and related liver conditions.
The initiative marks another important step towards strengthening diagnostic services and improving patient care at Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi.
