Hand , foot and mouth disease (HFMD )
Definition:: This is a viral infection which is highly infectious and contagious mainly affecting children under five years of age but can affects adults as well.
Cause : pathogens ( causative factor ) virus mainly Coxskie A16 and entero virus A71.
Pathogenesis ( Disease course) :: Fever followed by throat ulcers and neck swelling ( swollen lymph nodes) sometimes skin rashes and skin necrosis develops.
Treatment: No specific treatment except symptomatic, fever controlled by paracetamol and Ibuprofen and mouth ulcers by oral gels .
Prognosis: condition recovers in seven to ten days time.

Hearing loss ( Temporary or permanent)
After vision the second most important gift awarded to human beings or a living creature by god is hearing.
sometimes a person feels that he has developed some sort of difficulty in hearing or perceiving the sound or speech or verbal orders of others, this is more commonly happen in old age and persons having some co morbidities like blood pressure or sugar.
Such a person should visit an ENT Surgeon because the hearing loss might be temporary due to the blockage of ear canal by simply having wax which could be easily removed by syringing and in result restoration of hearing.
If the hearing loss is affecting a person due to BP and Sugar , which is going to cause a permanent nerve loss, then proper advice and treatment might halt and control the nerve weakness in time .

dr Rafat’s Clinic has conducted a study because of increasing numbers of cancer cases and maintained a statistical record .
Oral ( mouth) cancers , throat cancers and Laryngeal ( sound box) cancers were studied.
Twenty five or thirty years back laryngeal ( sound box ) cancers were quite common, the ratio of laryngeal to oral cancer was 3:1 . Surprisingly it is reversed in last ten to fifteen years and the ratio of oro pharyngeaal to laryngeal cancer has now become 5:1 .
The conclusion of this study is very clear , this is all due to excessive and extensive use of gutka , Mawa ,niswar and pan .
