In a cultural event organized at the Ruth Pfau College of Nursing in Karachi, students of General BSN showcased traditional attire and prepared cultural dishes. Faculty members from various nursing colleges, hospital directors, and nursing advisors attended the program. Notable participants included Dr. Tazeen Saeed Ali, Director Nursing at Agha Khan Nursing School; Dr. Khalid Bakhari, Medical Superintendent at Dr. Ruth's M.F. Soult Hospital; and Dr. Sabir Memon, Executive Director at Benazir Bhutto Trauma Center Karachi. Students, adorned in Sindhi, Balochi, Punjabi, and Pashtun attire, presented various tableaus and introduced traditional dishes, also highlighting the importance of vitamins in the meals. Nursing Director Khairunnisa emphasized the rich cultural diversity of Pakistan and the significance of promoting cultural activities to enhance students' mental abilities. The event concluded with a cultural dress show and presentation of awards and medals to students by the nursing director.

Flying Doctors Nigeria has established a fantastic initiative to combat the spread of in the country in the form of mobile testing & sample collection booths.

Shortly after the first case of the in Nigeria, FDN started to think about ways to ramp up testing sustainably & also to protect its healthcare workers who are constantly at the frontline. The lack of availability (and the cost) of personal protective equipment (PPE) prompted it to manufacture mobile booths following the success recorded by South Korea. It also assisted in the establishment of a molecular laboratory in Ogun State.

This formed the 'Drive Through Sample Collection Centre', a location where healthcare workers can take samples without ever coming into direct contact with patients.

FDN says it believes that if other Nigerian states & African countries can produce booths at cost effective rates, the spread of COVID19 in Africa can be curbed.
