Awareness is where care begins. Connection is where it grows.

Following the Bone Cancer Awareness Session organized by the FPCCI, Team Rufayda, in collaboration with Dr Essa Laboratory & Diagnostic Centre Essa Laboratory & Diagnostic Center, facilitated a reflective wellbeing activity for the attendees.

Through a simple creative activity, attendees were invited to pause, connect, and step away from the demands of their professional roles. The session created space to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with the human side of healthcare, reminding us that caring for others begins with caring for ourselves.

Together, we continue building spaces where compassion extends not only to patients, but also to those who care for them.

Every meaningful change begins with a conversation.

The Women in Medicine Wellbeing Forum brought together women in healthcare to connect, reflect, and share experiences in a space built on empathy, support, and growth.

From thoughtful discussions to genuine connections, every moment reminded us that when women in medicine come together, they don’t just strengthen one another—they strengthen healthcare itself.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed their time, insights, and experiences. Your presence made these conversations meaningful, and your voices continue to inspire a stronger, more connected healthcare community.

It starts with one room.

The first gathering of the Women in Medicine Wellbeing Forum reminded us that when women in healthcare are given the space to speak openly, listen deeply, and learn across generations, something powerful happens.

Healthcare workers from every stage of the journey sat together. Seniors and juniors shared the same space. Questions that had quietly been carried for years finally found a room to be asked. Conversations moved beyond careers, into money, self-doubt, purpose, family, leadership, and everything in between.

There was a toddler wandering through the room. Coffee in hand. Shoes left at the door. Honest conversations unfolding on the floor. Somehow, it all felt exactly as it should.

We also launched The Stethoscope’s Purse, the first of our financial literacy series, reminding us that caring for ourselves includes learning to care for our financial wellbeing too.

A special thank you to Dr. Talaiha Chughtai Talaiha Chughtai for bringing such honesty, warmth, and generosity to the conversation. You reminded us that the most meaningful mentorship doesn’t come from having all the answers—it comes from being willing to share the journey.

If this was what our first gathering felt like, we can’t wait to see what we build together over the months ahead.

This is just the beginning. 💙

Every meaningful conversation begins with people who know how to listen, guide, and create space for others to be heard.

That’s why we’re introducing the facilitators behind the Women in Medicine Wellbeing Forum (WiMWF), whose shared commitment to healthcare worker wellbeing shapes every conversation and connection within the forum.

We’re honoured to have Dr. Arfa Masihuddin, Founder & CEO of Rufayda Care for Healthcare, and Dr. Gulrukh Shakil, Project Manager and Social Media Lead, guiding this journey.

Because when conversations are guided with purpose, they become catalysts for change.
