ANALYSIS

Abraham was taken down in the box early Monday and couldn't continue despite giving it a go for a few more minutes. It doesn't look like a serious ankle injury, but it's likely a sprain that'll force him to miss a week or two

ANALYSIS

Carvajal only just returned to the starting lineup after missing five straight league matches before he was replaced by another player who just returned from injury in Lucas Vazquez. If the hamstring injury is confirmed, then he'll be a long shot to return by the UCL match against Atalanta on Feb. 24 at the earliest.

The French forward was on the wrong end of a horrific tackle from Loic Perrin 31 minutes in, which saw the Saint-Etienne player sent off with a red card, while Mbappe had to leave the field injured.

Barcelona received some bad news as the club released a statement confirming that Antoine Griezmann picked up an injury during their 1-0 win against Real Valladolid.
According to the statement, Griezmann suffered an injury to the quadriceps in his right leg.
Diario Sport take it a step further and all but confirm that he will miss the rest of the season as these types of injuries usually take around three weeks to fully heal.

Real Madrid officially announced the medical report of Marcelo. He has a tear of his left adductor muscle. Due to which he will miss the remaining season of Laliga.
Clubs do not generally say how long their players will be out for, but he will be seidelined for atleast two weeks. It has been an injury hit season for the Brazilian: it is the fifth time Marcelo has been out with a similar type of injury.
Curiously, that injury meant he was going to miss the second leg of the Champions League tie with Man City. However, the fact it got postponed until 7th August means that he could be fit for that game. !

Jordan Henderson, captain of Liverpool lost his consistency and injured his knee during match with Brighton. Henderson has had a fairly strong season for Liverpool so far this year having earnt himself a season rating of 7.15/10 for his performances in his 30 Premier League appearances for the Reds.
Given how impressive Henderson has been for Liverpool in the Premier League this season, his potential absence for their upcoming fixtures could well have a negative impact for the Reds.

Gary Cahill of Crystal Palace injured his hamstring in second minute of play against Chelsea.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Hodgson said:
"I think it would be unrealistic for me to suggest they [Willian] should suddenly put their foot on the ball and stop and run straight to Gary and see how he is. That’s not the way football is. It certainly was a very unfortunate incident that happened so early in the game and in the end it cost us a point - because that was the goal they won by. They won by one goal, and that was it."

Focusing on Cahill more closely, Hodgson provided an update on the Eagles' experienced centre-back.

"It’s a hamstring injury," Hodgson confirmed. "He’s obviously felt his hamstring give way. He’ll obviously be assessed and receive a scan but I’ll be very surprised if there isn’t a tear in the muscle.

Kante's injury proved perhaps the sole blow in Chelsea's comfortable Saturday night victory at Stamford Bridge, leaving Lampard sweating on the 29-year-old's fitness.
"N'Golo Kante he has a small hamstring injury, we hope it is small, that's what I've been told so far," said Lampard.
Maurizio Sarri concedes he should have rested Kante and was pessimistic when asked about the prospect of the player’s availability next week.
