PCOS has officially been renamed PMOS โ Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome. ๐
And honestly, this change matters to all of us women.
Because PCOS was never โjust ovaries.โ
It affects hormones, metabolism, mental health, weight, insulin resistance, fertility, skin, emotions, and overall well-being. Itโs something many women silently battle every single day.
Behind the smiles are painful cycles, hormonal imbalances, struggles to conceive, anxiety, body changes, and the exhausting feeling of trying to explain that this condition is REAL.
This new name helps people understand that itโs more than a reproductive condition โ itโs a whole-body syndrome that deserves awareness, compassion, proper healthcare, and support.
To every woman living with PMOS/PCOS:
You are not lazy.
You are not dramatic.
You are not less of a woman.
Your struggle is valid.
Your body is fighting battles people cannot see.
And you deserve understanding, healing, and hope. ๐ธ
Letโs continue spreading awareness because womenโs health matters. ๐ค
