Another great video by our two ABAT & - here, they are demonstrating how to run the goal: indicate named colours whereby the therapist says the colour & the child indicates the colour being named. They have also demonstrated what to do if the child responds incorrectly or doesn’t respond at all.

This strategy can be applied when teaching all sorts of receptive language goals such as indicating common objects, pictures of objects, actions and academic tasks such as alphabets and numbers!

Our ABATs got together to video a goal for one of our parent training sessions. Here, they have demonstrated 3 possible responses:
1. Correct response is followed by praise (yay!)
2. Incorrect response is followed by no attention -> representation of the stimuli & question -> immediately prompting the answer
3. No response is followed by a verbal prompt
