According to Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla Child Specialist in Karachi children often complain of abdominal pain. Off and on have loose stools. This might be due to infection by an organism Giardiasis Lamblia. Very common in contaminated food and water. Giardiasis is a chronic condition and maybe difficult to diagnose unless a stool D/R is done. There maybe gaseous distension. The medical practitioner will prescribe the treatment after seeing the test reports.

According to in Karachi sometimes in newborn the passage from the eyes to the nose which carries tears is blocked. As a result the eyes are always watering and often lead to eye . This passage is a small opening in the medial side of the eye. The treatment is very simple and includes massaging the medial side of the affected eye with the little finger. At least 10 times a day. If not managed properly needs to be done to open the passage.

The cornea gets damaged and there is a small ulcer. If untreated the ulcer does not heal well. If a scar tissue is left it affects the vision. The scar tissue has to be replaced with corneal transplant.
