PEBS Hospital Pakistan’s 1st Registered Eye Charity Circa 1968 & Multi-Speciality Hospital Further diagnosis helps in controlling the diseases. and appreciation from public.

Pakistan Eye Bank Society was established in 1968 for the prevention of blindness and cure eye related diseases. Over the years it has diversified its services in Gynecology, Maxillofacial, physiotherapy and Laboratory testing. Pakistan Eye bank Society Hospital was established in 1993.The hospital is equipped with latest equipment and with capable doctors. The Society maintains its guiding principal that best available service will be provided to all in patient care, equipment, processes, compliance standard and surgery. The Society has achieved success year after year which is evident by the increasing number of patients and procedures. While providing quality medical services, we are simultaneously working on disease prevention. The Society organizes on regular basis health education seminars and workshops to educate masses about disease and its prevention. Our primary focus is on school children to detect eye related disorders at early age. We give training to teachers enabling them to detect any eye related disease amongst the children at an early age. The Society has conducted several workshops to educate women about family health. Our health education seminars has always received a good response.

German Consulate donates YAG Laser Machine to PEBS Hospital

Inauguration of a modern YAG Laser machine was done by Frau Dagmar Traub-Evans, Consul from German Consulate General Karachi at PEBS Hospital today in the presence of members of Managing Committee, Pakistan Eye Bank Society, Ophthalmologists of PEBS Hospital and patients. The machine has been generously donated by the Consulate General, Federal Republic of Germany at Karachi.

With this new addition, the Eye Unit of PEBS Hospital will be greatly enhanced, and patients will benefit from the new technically improved features of YAG Laser machine. YAG Laser Machine will strengthen PEBS Hospital’s ophthalmic services and enhance access to advanced laser procedures for patients.

During her visit, Ms. Dagmar Traub-Evans toured the PEBS-GO German Course Poster Exhibition at the PEBS Global Opportunity Centre (PEBS-GO), a program by PEBS. She commended German Course Instructor Diplom-Deutschlehrer and praised the students' remarkable hard work and presentation standards on their IB-based C.A.S. German Course Project.

PEBS-GO bridges Pakistani youth with international academic and professional pathways. Engaging students directly with diplomatic missions provides them with vital exposure to cross-cultural collaboration, public diplomacy, and leadership skills.

PEBS expressed its appreciation to the German Consulate for this valuable contribution, reflecting the continued friendship and cooperation between Germany and Pakistan in healthcare and community service.

Celebrating Achievement at PEBS Hospital

A ceremony followed by lunch was held on Monday, 5 October 2026, in the Board Room of PEBS Hospital, to commemorate the successful completion of FCPS Part II by Dr Rutaba Ashraf, Registrar in the Department of Oral, Maxillofacial & Cancer Surgery.

The meeting was convened by Dr Jehanzeb Mughal, HOD, Oral, Maxillofacial & Cancer Surgery Unit, who introduced the members of the Unit to Mr Qazi Sajid Ali, President, PEBS Hospital, and members of the Management Committee, including Ms Shahana Kaukab (General Secretary), Dr Qazi Wasiq, Mr Wasim Jafri and Mr Qazi Yasir Ali (Joint Secretary).

This was followed by remarks from Mr Qazi Sajid Ali, who congratulated Dr Rutaba on her achievement. On behalf of PEBS Hospital, he presented her with a letter of congratulations and promotion to Senior Registrar, recognising her hard work, dedication and professional accomplishment.

The occasion was further marked by a cake-cutting ceremony, followed by lunch, providing an opportunity for colleagues and members of the management to celebrate Dr Rutaba’s success together.
