Sometimes pain isn’t just about the injured muscle or joint.
Your nervous system shapes how safe, tense, guarded, or comfortable your body feels, which is why stress, fear, fatigue, and even posture can change pain and movement so much.
Physiotherapy isn’t only about “fixing” a body part that is hurting. It’s about helping your body feel safe enough to move, adapt, and heal again.
That’s why the nervous system matters, and that’s why we are intentionally, and incrementally, moving towards being trauma informed.
Offering a trauma-informed physio-service means understanding that pain and healing are never just physical. The body, nervous system, emotions, stress, and past experiences are all connected.
And truthfully, this work starts within us first.
The hardest part is the transformation required from our cofounders and team members themselves, learning to slow down, listen differently, reflect on our own patterns, and create spaces that feel safer, not just clinically correct. Change is hard.
It’s not simply a new service we offer.
It’s a different way of showing up for people, and most importantly, ourselves.
Thank you for mentoring us through this process. Here’s to a long-lasting collaboration between two value-aligned wellness services that keeps growing 🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻
