Come to the mountains with us for a women’s retreat in Hunza, held at Silk Route Lodge, Gulmit.

📅 October 11–16, 2026 (5 nights)
🏔️ Facilitated by Rabbia Aamir (trauma-informed physiotherapist) & Saman Ghani Khan (trauma-informed life coach)

This retreat is built around a simple premise: nature and each guest’s own intention do the deep work. Our role, as facilitators, is to hold that space with safety, structure, and thoughtfulness, not to fill it.

This offering focuses on the nervous system: how it holds tension, shapes posture, and drives patterns. The body’s language speaks to us constantly, even when we’ve lost the capacity to hear it, and understanding that language is what allows us to feel safe in our bodies, and resilient to stress.

Women are especially vulnerable to losing this connection. From a young age, many of us learn to experience our bodies through how we appear or what we do for others, rather than what we feel or need - and the body adapts accordingly. Posture shifts to take up less space.

Tension is stored from carrying more than an equal share, often silently. Pain gets minimized or explained away. Over time, the body reshapes itself around expectation rather than need, and reconnecting to it isn’t a mood or a mindset shift - it’s a physical and nervous-system process, which is exactly the work this retreat is built to hold.

We’re not offering a complete transformation in six days. Our goal is simpler: to teach participants how to notice - paced deliberately, with safety, physical and emotional, coming before any itinerary. This experience brings physiotherapy and coaching together, resourcing people in a holistic way.

Spots are limited to keep the group intimate.

We’re looking for a Brand Story Teller and Content Creator. Someone who can connect with our values and tell our story.

Someone who understands that Physical Wellness Centre isn’t offering standard physiotherapy, it’s holding space for people’s physical and emotional wellbeing, and can translate that into content that actually moves people.

This is a full time position based in Karachi (DHA) which requires you to be on site for the majority of the week.

If you’ve applied to “social media manager” roles before and felt like the job was just posting promotional content with trendy captions - this isn’t that.

We want someone who thinks like a storyteller first and a content creator second.

Read our previous post for more details on what you’ll be doing and who we’re looking for, specifically. We’re excited to hear from you!

How to Apply 📩
✔️ Email your CV + Portfolio [email protected]
✔️ A 2-minute video of yourself (not a cover letter) explaining what you understand about our unique approach to physiotherapy — including the trauma-informed framework
✔️ A short note on a brand story you admire and why

We’re more interested in how you think than a polished resume.

Note: We recognise AI-heavy copy, so please use your own words with minimal AI assistance.

Physio isn’t just for pain.

Your nervous system is talking to you constantly- hunger, tension, fatigue, a slowing-down. Pain is just the loudest signal it sends. Most of the time, it’s speaking a lot more quietly than that.

The problem is, many of us learned to tune it out. Life got hard, numbing became the coping mechanism. So by the time we do feel something, it’s already gone too far.

That’s where interoception comes in. It’s the skill of actually sensing what your body needs, before it becomes a bigger problem. And it’s a skill your nervous system can rebuild.

At PWC, this is what physio with us is really about: helping you reconnect with your body, so it can find its own balance again — before pain has to force the conversation.

You don’t have to be injured to start.

💬 Where do you feel most disconnected from your body — tension, fatigue, or something else? Tell us below.

Retreat Alert!
October 11-16th, 2026

Spend five nights at Silk Route Lodge, Hunza, for a retreat built around a simple idea: your own body and the mountains around you do the deep work. We are there to hold that space safely, not to fill it.

This is a retreat that has the sole intention of helping women connect to their bodies.

It’s for women who feel physically disconnected from their own bodies, craving real space to think, and wanting tools to bring home not just a nice week away.

Led by Rabbia Aamir, a trauma-informed physiotherapist, and Saman Ghani Khan, a trauma-informed life coach, both co-founders of Physical Wellness Centre. Together, they will guide participants through a gentle, body-led journey of awareness, healing, and change that is paced, gentle, and never pushed.

We live in our bodies every day, but that doesn’t always mean we’re connected to them. Connection begins with noticing. How do you walk? Where do you hold tension? What feels effortless, and what feels like work? What changes when you slow down? Sometimes it’s as simple as lying on the ground and noticing where your body meets the floor, where you’re bracing, or whether you can let yourself be supported.

Throughout the retreat, we’ll offer different ways of noticing, through movement, stillness, nature, and conversation, so you can begin to understand your body’s own language.

Spots are limited to keep the group intimate.

Somatic Mapping at PWC is an observational assessment where our trauma-informed physiotherapist looks at how the body has organized itself to adapt to your environment, stress, experiences, and routine. Available to individuals all over the world via our online service and in person for those based in Karachi, Pakistan.

Every joint has an ideal position, where it can perform at its best. When the body shifts away from that, other muscles and joints start compensating to keep things working.

Somatic Mapping helps us understand which areas are overworking, which are under-supporting, and how the body has adapted over time to get things done, so we can focus on addressing the root cause of the discomfort, not just the symptoms.

Because lasting healing starts with understanding the whole body, not just the pain.

Book your Somatic Mapping session to begin with clarity.

Special thanks to Aun Ali and Trauma Release and Wellness Centre for supporting our PTs with integrating trauma informed care in themselves and their healing practice.
