A VERY HAPPY EID UL FITR TO EVERYONE FROM HEARING CLINIC PAKISTAN
Eid ul-Fitr is a major Islamic festival that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection. Often called the "Festival of Breaking the Fast," it is a time of immense gratitude, joy, and community.
The Meaning of Eid ul-Fitr:
Completion & Reward: It celebrates the successful completion of a month of spiritual discipline.
Gratitude:
Muslims express thanks to Allah for the strength and patience granted during Ramadan.
Charity (Zakat al-Fitr):
Before the special Eid prayer, a mandatory charitable donation is given to the poor so everyone can join the festivities.
How It Is Celebrated
The celebrations typically last for one to three days and include several core traditions:
Eid Prayer: The day begins with a special congregational prayer in mosques or large open fields.
Sweet Festivities: Known as "Sweet Eid" (Meethi Eid), traditional desserts like Sheer Khurma (vermicelli milk pudding) are staples.
New Clothes & Grooming: It is Sunnah to wear one’s best clothes, take a ritual bath (ghusl), and wear perfume.
Eidi: Elders often give children small cash gifts or presents, a beloved tradition called "Eidi".
Forgiveness: It is a time to reconcile with others, move past old grudges, and strengthen family bonds.
