CBT for Depression | Workshop

A meaningful and insightful workshop on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Depression was conducted on 1 August 2026 at Municipal Graduate College, Faisalabad.

The session explored key CBT concepts, the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and practical approaches to understanding and managing depression.

A beautiful evening of reflection, poetry, and connection!

Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting Ms. Hana Abbasian for our insightful session on "The Language of Longing: Sufism, Poetry, and the Inner Life." Together, we explored the rich literary traditions of Middle Eastern and South Asian Sufi poetry and reflected on how the 'inner life' speaks to our modern world.

🎙️ Meet Our Speaker

Hana Abbasian, MS, is an Iranian researcher and graduate student in the Master of Social Work program at Boston University. She earned her Master of Science in Bioethics from Harvard Medical School, where her work focused on mental health and the human experience. Her interest in Sufism stems from her engagement with Persian, Turkish, and Arabic poetry, through which she explores questions of meaning, consciousness, and human flourishing.

Pre-Symposium Workshop on Team-Based Care for Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders at LUMHS

Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, successfully organized the pre-symposium workshop, "Working Together: Team-Based Care for Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders," as part of the Lifespan Health & Mental Wellbeing Symposium 2026.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Madeeha Latif, President of PACT, and Ms. Falahat Maqbool, General Secretary of PACT, who shared their expertise on the importance of collaborative, multidisciplinary care for children with neurodevelopmental disorders.

The Lifespan Health & Mental Wellbeing Symposium 2026 is being organized under the leadership of Dr. Aatir Hanif Rajput, Vice President of PACT, highlighting the association's commitment to strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and advancing evidence-based care.
