1. What Rhinoplasty Actually Is
It’s surgery to reshape the bone + cartilage of the nose.
Reasons: cosmetic, breathing problems, injury, or deviated septum.

2. “What His Nose Will Go Through” - Timeline

Before Surgery
• Consultation: 3D photos, talk about what he wants. Nothing is done without his approval.
• Tests: Blood work, stop smoking, no blood thinners.

Surgery Day
• Anesthesia: He’ll be fully asleep. No pain, no memory of it.
• Time: 1.5 to 3 hours
• After: Wakes up with a splint/cast on nose + packing inside. Feels like a bad cold.

Week 1: The Hardest Part
• Swelling + Bruising: Around eyes and nose. Ice helps.
• Breathing: Through mouth only.
• Splint comes off: Day 5-7. This is a big relief.
• Pain: More like pressure and congestion. Painkillers work.

Weeks 2-4
• Looks presentable: Most bruising gone. Can go to work/school.
• But: Nose still looks swollen and “puffy” to him. This is normal.

Months 3-6
• 80% of swelling gone. Shape starts looking like the final result.
• Tip of nose: Last to go down, especially if it was thick skin.

1 Year
• 100% Final Result. All swelling gone. Nose settles completely. 4. Recovery Rules
