A few extra moments after birth can make a meaningful difference. 🤍
Delayed cord clamping allows continued blood flow from the placenta to the baby, supporting the baby's blood volume, iron stores, and transition after birth.
While it is beneficial for many newborns, including important benefits for preterm babies, it is not a rigid rule for every delivery. The timing should always be guided by the condition of the mother and baby.
