INTRODUCTION TO PRCS Pakistan Red Crescent Society was founded on December 20, 1947 by the order ‘The Pakistan Red Cross Order’ courtesy Quaid-e- Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Governor General of Pakistan and Founder President of the Society. The International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) recognized PRCS on July 21, 1948. Later it was admitted as a member of the League of Red Cross and Red Crescent S

Urban flooding has begun to affect vulnerable communities in Tehsil Ferozewala, District Sheikhupura, leaving many families in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
True to our commitment—"First to Reach, Last to Leave"—the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab Branch is on the ground, delivering emergency relief. Today, our teams distributed cooked meals to around 100 families, providing immediate support to those affected by the flooding.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (Punjab Branch) proudly inaugurated its Free Dispensary in Ratwal, Fateh Jang, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring accessible healthcare for underserved communities.
The inauguration was led by Governor Punjab & President PRCS Punjab Branch, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, alongside Consul General of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Sun Yan. Constructed with the support of the People's Republic of China, the dispensary will provide free medical consultations and medicines, while all operational and healthcare expenses will be borne by PRCS Punjab Branch to ensure uninterrupted services.
This initiative reflects the enduring spirit of humanitarian service and the strong friendship between Pakistan and China, bringing quality healthcare closer to those who need it most.

The 2nd batch of the PRCS Mentorship Program 2026 successfully participated in a Restoring Family Links (RFL) session facilitated by Mr. Qazi Amjad Manager Restoring Family Links (RFL).The session highlighted the critical importance of tracing missing persons, detailed the mechanics of emergency communication, and emphasized the role of youth in reuniting families separated by conflicts, migration, and natural disasters.

Through insightful discussions and interactive learning, participants were equipped with the essential operational skills to support vulnerable communities, facilitate vital connections, and restore hope during acute crises.

Strengthening Humanitarian Partnerships

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (Punjab Branch) held a productive meeting with representatives of Alkhidmat Foundation to discuss future collaboration on First Aid Trainings and Voluntary Blood Donation initiatives.

The meeting focused on strengthening humanitarian cooperation, enhancing community preparedness through lifesaving first aid training, and promoting voluntary blood donation campaigns to better serve vulnerable communities across Punjab. Both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to working together in the spirit of humanity and volunteerism.
