care has no fixed address. Living with diabetes involves more than managing blood sugar. It means navigating stigma, social pressures and systems built without people living with diabetes in mind.
When workplaces and schools are adapted to people’s needs, diabetes care is easier. Workplaces and schools should:
🔹Allow space for insulin supplies, food, water and breaks
🔹Allow flexible hours, learning and work arrangements
🔹Build awareness, share information and offer screenings
🔹Ask, listen and support, without blame or judgment
Environments that support people with diabetes make care possible everywhere.
