𝗣𝗣𝗔 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗯 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺

𝗟𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝟮𝟯 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: The newly elected office bearers and Executive Body of the Pakistan Pediatric Association (PPA) Punjab 2026–2028 took oath at the 10th Annual Scientific Symposium of PPA Punjab, held at King Edward Medical University, Lahore.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗱 took oath as President PPA Punjab, while 𝗗𝗿. 𝗪𝗮𝗷𝗶𝗵𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝘄𝗮𝗻 took oath as General Secretary, along with the newly elected members of the Executive Body.

On the occasion, Dr. Ashiq Najam, representing the non-teaching category, and Prof. Tipu Sultan, representing the teaching category, were awarded the prestigious SMK Wasti Gold Medal in recognition of their distinguished contributions to pediatrics.

The medals were presented by Prof. Sajid Maqbool, Prof. Masood Sadiq, President PPA Pakistan, and Prof. Hina Ayesha, President PPA Punjab and Dr. Kaleem Malhi, GS, PPA punjab.

The ceremony brought together senior pediatricians and members of the pediatric community, celebrating leadership, service and excellence in child healthcare.

𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. It fuels brain drain, affects quality of care, widens communication gaps, and can create hostile work environments.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗪𝗔𝗣 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 is launching a course aligned with international AMEE guidance, supporting residents and healthcare professionals across the globe.
