A healthy shoulder joint allows smooth, pain-free movement in all directions. However, in frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), the joint becomes stiff, painful, and restricted.
What happens in Frozen Shoulder?
The capsule around the shoulder joint becomes tight and inflamed, leading to reduced mobility and difficulty in everyday activities like reaching, lifting, or dressing.
Common Symptoms:
• Gradual onset of shoulder pain
• Stiffness and restricted range of motion
• Difficulty lifting the arm overhead
• Pain worsening at night
• Trouble performing daily tasks (combing hair, wearing clothes)
Why Physiotherapy Matters:

Your posture and your bite are more connected than you think, a small imbalance in your jaw can influence your entire body alignment.
Many people believe that malocclusion (improper alignment of teeth) only affects their smile, but it can also have a significant impact on posture and musculoskeletal health.
What is Malocclusion?
Malocclusion refers to the improper alignment of the teeth and jaws.
How does it affect posture?
A misaligned jaw can alter the position of the head and neck, leading to forward head posture, muscle imbalance, neck stiffness, and even back pain over time.
Common Signs:
• Neck pain
• Headaches
• Forward head posture
• Jaw discomfort or clicking
Role of Physiotherapy:
Physiotherapy plays a key role in managing these issues by:

ڈسکوجینک شیاٹیکا اور پیریفارمس سنڈروم — فرق اور فزیوتھراپی کی اہمیت

کمر اور ٹانگ میں پھیلنے والا درد ہر بار ایک جیسا نہیں ہوتا۔ اکثر لوگ ہر ایسے درد کو "شیاٹیکا" (Sciatica) سمجھ لیتے ہیں، جبکہ اس کی وجوہات مختلف ہو سکتی ہیں۔

ڈسکوجینک شیاٹیکا (Discogenic Sciatica):
یہ مسئلہ اس وقت پیدا ہوتا ہے جب ریڑھ کی ہڈی کی ڈسک باہر کی طرف نکل کر (Slip Disc) اعصاب پر دباؤ ڈالتی ہے۔ درد کمر سے شروع ہو کر کولہے اور ٹانگ تک جاتا ہے، اور بیٹھنے، جھکنے یا کھانسنے سے بڑھ سکتا ہے۔

پیریفارمس سنڈروم (Piriformis Syndrome):
اس میں درد کی وجہ ریڑھ کی ہڈی نہیں بلکہ کولہے کا ایک گہرا پٹھا (Piriformis Muscle) ہوتا ہے جو سیاٹک نرو پر دباؤ ڈالتا ہے۔ اس درد میں زیادہ تکلیف کولہے میں محسوس ہوتی ہے اور دیر تک بیٹھنے یا چلنے سے علامات بڑھ سکتی ہیں۔

فزیوتھراپی (Physiotherapy) کیوں ضروری ہے؟
فزیوتھراپی دونوں مسائل کے علاج میں بنیادی کردار ادا کرتی ہے۔
✔ درست تشخیص کے ذریعے اصل وجہ معلوم کی جاتی ہے
✔ مخصوص ایکسرسائزز سے اعصاب پر دباؤ کم کیا جاتا ہے
✔ پٹھوں کو مضبوط اور لچکدار بنایا جاتا ہے
✔ درد کم ہو کر روزمرہ کی سرگرمیاں بہتر ہوتی ہیں
✔ سرجری اور ادویات کی ضرورت کم ہو سکتی ہے

یاد رکھیں، ہر شیاٹیکا (Sciatica) ایک جیسا نہیں ہوتا — درست علاج کے لیے درست تشخیص ضروری ہے۔
