🌿 Dehydration — A Serious Yet Preventable Health Problem 🌿
Dehydration is a condition that occurs when the body does not receive enough water to function properly. Although it may seem like a minor issue, ignoring it can lead to serious health complications.
Major causes of dehydration include insufficient water intake, excessive heat exposure, heavy sweating, diarrhea or vomiting, and physical weakness or illness.
Common symptoms may include dry mouth and lips, headaches, dizziness, reduced urination, and physical fatigue.
To prevent and manage dehydration, it is important to drink plenty of water, use ORS when needed, consume fresh fruits and natural juices, and allow the body proper rest.
For prevention, make it a habit to drink 8–10 glasses of water daily, avoid prolonged exposure to heat, reduce caffeine and soft drink consumption, and pay attention to early warning signs of dehydration.
