Dr. Aijaz Ali Tunio is a highly experienced Consultant Pediatrician and Assistant Professor of Paediatrics at Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Children’s Hospital, Larkana. With over 23 years of experience, he has dedicated his career to the care, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood illnesses with compassion and clinical excellence.
He completed his MBBS from Chandka Medical College in 2003 and gained early clinical experience at Civil Hospital Karachi. He further specialized in pediatrics by completing his MCPS at the National Institute of Child Health (NICH), Karachi, one of the country’s leading pediatric institutions.
Dr. Tunio has worked in several renowned hospitals including Aga Khan Hospital, NICH, Jinnah Hospital, Indus Hospital, and Chiniot General Hospital, where he enhanced his expertise in handling complex pediatric cases. He also served internationally in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for seven years under the Ministry of Health, gaining valuable global experience in child healthcare.
In 2018, he returned to Larkana and joined SMBBMU Children’s Hospital, where he later completed his MD in Pediatrics and now serves as Assistant Professor. Alongside his academic role, he provides evening clinical services at Ali Hospital, Larkana, continuing his commitment to community healthcare.
Dr. Tunio is recognized as a dedicated pediatrician, teacher, and mentor, contributing significantly to child health and the training of future medical professionals.
