Osteoporosis makes bones weaker and more likely to break. It often develops silently, with no pain or warning signs, and many people only find out after a fracture. That’s why building and protecting bone health early, and getting checked when you’re at risk, makes such a difference. 🤍

🌟 Build and protect your bones:
✅ Eat calcium-rich foods such as milk, yogurt, cheese, leafy greens and nuts
✅ Get enough vitamin D through safe sunlight and a balanced diet
✅ Stay active with weight-bearing exercise such as walking, jogging and light strength training
✅ Ask your doctor before starting supplements

⚠️ Talk to your doctor about a bone health check if:
🔴 You are a woman going through or past menopause
🔴 You are over 50, or have had a fracture from a minor fall
🔴 You have a family history of osteoporosis or hip fracture
🔴 You have noticed a loss in height or a stooped posture
🔴 You’ve taken certain long-term medicines or have conditions that affect bone health

Trauma doesn’t always look the same. It can come from a sudden accident or injury, from a frightening event, or from an experience that leaves its mark on the mind long after the body has healed. Today, on World Trauma Day, we remember everyone living with the effects of trauma, and the families and caregivers who stand beside them.

🚑 When trauma is physical:
✅ Accidents, falls, burns and serious injuries need urgent medical attention
✅ Call for help immediately and get to the nearest emergency department
✅ Don’t delay care, because every minute matters

🧠 When trauma affects the mind:
✅ Feeling anxious, on edge, numb or constantly tired after a distressing event is not weakness
✅ Trouble sleeping, flashbacks or avoiding reminders can be signs you need support
✅ Talking to someone you trust, and then to a professional, is a brave first step

🌟 How we can all make a difference:
✅ Listen without judging
✅ Check in on a friend or family member who has been through a hard time
✅ Learn basic first aid
✅ Follow road, workplace and home safety rules to prevent injuries
✅ Encourage anyone struggling to seek professional help
