Deputy Commissioner Nauman Siddique Deputy Commissioner Office, Multan conducted a surprise inspection of the Nishtar Institute of Dentistry to comprehensively review the medical and dental facilities available to patients. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner held a formal meeting with the Principal of the institution, the esteemed Prof. Dr. Zubair Hassan Awaisi.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected multiple departments within the facility to assess clinical treatment protocols, sanitation standards, the availability of essential medicines, and the overall quality of patient care. During the inspection, he interacted directly with patients to gather firsthand feedback regarding their treatment progress and the standard of amenities provided.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Nauman Siddique directed the hospital administration to guarantee the delivery of high-quality, timely, and optimal medical care under all circumstances. He emphasized that, in alignment with the directives of the Government of Punjab, elevating the standard of healthcare in public hospitals and providing exemplary medical services to the general public remains the primary objective of the district administration.
Furthermore, he instructed the management to maintain rigorous standards of cleanliness, institutional discipline, and an uninterrupted supply of medicines, underscoring that any negligence or oversight regarding patient care and treatment will not be tolerated.

Admired for her unwavering dedication, compassionate mentorship, exemplary professionalism, and profound commitment to dental education, she leaves behind a legacy of inspiration for her colleagues and students. The ceremony was arranged by Prof. Dr. Zubair Hassan Awaisi, Principal, Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, who also presented her with a commemorative shield in recognition of her dedicated services. The event was attended by Heads of Departments (HODs), Senior Medical Staff & Colleagues. The gathering concluded with warm wishes and prayers for her good health, lasting happiness, and a peaceful, prosperous journey in the years to come.

Board of Studies, Meeting on Modular System Implementation at Nishtar Institute of Dentistry

A faculty meeting was convened at Nishtar Institute of Dentistry to discuss the newly introduced modular system in undergraduate dental education.

The session focused on curriculum structuring, assessment alignment, and integration of modules across clinical and basic science disciplines. The meeting was chaired by our Principal, Professor Dr. Zubair Hassan Awaisi, who provided strategic direction and encouraged collaborative input from all faculty members.

Nishtar Institute of Dentistry Embarks on a New Era of Dental Education
We are proud to announce the official initiative of the Modular System for the 1st Year BDS program at Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Multan under the Umbrella of Nishtar Medical University.

In a orientation session, the Principal, Prof. Dr. Zubair Hassan Awaisi, addressed the incoming 1st Year BDS students alongside the esteemed faculty members. The modular system represents a shift towards integrated, student-centered learning—moving away from traditional subject silos to a more holistic, clinically-relevant curriculum.

Prof. Dr. Zubair Hassan Awaisi emphasized that this modern approach will enhance critical thinking, reduce academic stress, and better prepare our future dentists for the challenges of patient care.

Paedodontics Department Refresh-up Acknowledgement

The recent refresh-up of the Paedodontics Department, including its fresh paint upgrade with colorful cartoons to attract children for their treatments and make the environment lively and conducive to difficult dental treatments for minors, was made possible through the dedicated efforts of our faculty and staff. The department team—Dr. Afshan, Dr. Ushna, and Dr. Hajra, and all other staff—had the pleasure of inviting our Principal, Prof. Dr. Zubair Hassan Awaisi, to visit and celebrate the transformed space.

Special thanks go to Dr. Ushna Ahmed and Dr. Afshan, as well as the entire Paedodontics Department team, whose commitment and hard work brought this project to life. Their efforts have created a brighter, more welcoming clinical and learning environment.
