Carbo Vegetabilis – System of Action & Uses
Through the vegetative nervous system, Carbo Vegetabilis has three special centers of action:
1: Mucous Membranes
➡️ Causes atony (weakness/sluggishness of mucous membranes)
➡️ Excess mucus discharge (mucorrhoea)
➡️ Useful in bloating, indigestion, acidity, weak digestion, and excessive mucus conditions
2: Glandular System
➡️ Acts on lymphatic glands causing enlargement
➡️ Secretions tend to become acidic
➡️ Helpful in sluggish metabolism, glandular weakness, and chronic digestive disturbances
3: Blood
➡️ Acts in septic and toxemic conditions
➡️ Poor circulation, low vitality, oxygen deficiency states
➡️ Commonly used in collapse, extreme weakness, coldness, and recovery from severe illness
