Colonoscopy plays a vital role in evaluating patients with persistent abdominal pain, especially when symptoms remain unexplained.
Recently, I encountered three interesting cases with significant findings in the ileocecal region:
Case 1: A well-defined ulcer surrounding the opening of the ileocecal valve.
Case 2: A superficial ulcer encircling the ileocecal valve, associated with a prominent circumferential fold in the cecum.
Case 3: A deep ulcer located in the terminal ileum.
These findings emphasize the importance of meticulous examination of the ileocecal area during colonoscopy, as this region commonly harbors inflammatory, infectious, and other clinically significant pathologies responsible for chronic abdominal pain.
Sharing these videos for educational purposes to promote awareness about early diagnosis and timely endoscopic evaluation.
