Sardr Begum Civil (DHQ Level) Hospital, Sialkot was built in 1992 by a
Philanthropist (Late) Saith Muhammad Bashir R/O Mohallah Shah Syedan Tehsil & Distt. Sialkot and was handed over to Govt. of the Punjab Health department in 1992 with 84 bed strength. Due to addition of 50 beds of W.C.H. (Women Child Hospital) in Govt. Sardar begum Civil, the bed strength of this Hospital has been raised from
84 to 134 bedded Hospital in February-1999. Later on it was expanded by (Late) Saith Muhammad Bashir in the name of Al-Shams Block in 2006. Sardar Begum Civil (DHQ Level) now Govt. Sardar begum Teaching Hospital situated in the centre of the city and affiliated with Govt. Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College Sialkot, consequent upon the improvement of facilities and quality of care the hospital number of the patients are increasing day by day and the Government has been approached to enhance the bed strength from 134 to 250 bedded Hospital.
