💔 Things That Destroy a Child’s Confidence

It doesn’t happen all at once.
Confidence doesn’t just disappear — it slowly fades, one painful moment at a time.

✨ When we laugh at their mistakes instead of helping them learn.
✨ When we compare them to other kids — “Look how well your cousin did!”
✨ When we dismiss their feelings — “Stop crying, that’s nothing to be upset about.”
✨ When we correct them in front of everyone instead of pulling them aside.
✨ When we call them names out of anger — “You’re so lazy,” “You’re so dramatic,” “You never listen.”
✨ When we expect perfection and forget they’re still learning.
✨ When we talk down to them instead of talking with them.
✨ When we don’t believe in them… so they stop believing in themselves.

Confidence isn’t built by praise alone.
It’s built when a child feels seen, heard, and safe to be imperfect.

Because one of the greatest gifts we can give our children
is the courage to be themselves — unapologetically.

So, choose your words carefully.
They become the voice inside your child’s head one day.
