Congress of French-Speaking Psychoanalysts Celebrates 100 Years
For a hundred years, the Congress of French-Speaking Psychoanalysts has brought together, on an alternating basis in Paris and in a city in another country, French-speaking analysts from a growing number of psychoanalytic societies and associations – twenty-six today – from Europe, the Middle East, South America, and Canada. This centennial has provided an opportunity to examine changes in the psychic organisation of our patients and to reflect on our history, which has spanned wars and dictatorships and witnessed numerous splits within the French psychoanalytic movement, as well as returns to the IPA. We look forward to seeing you in Lisbon in ’27, in Paris in ’28, and in Liège in ’29.
