We are proud to announce Dr. Richard Noel as the new President of the Ponce Research Institute! 🎊
With 28 years of dedicated service to our institution, Dr. Noel brings a wealth of experience in research, education, leadership, and scientific innovation. Throughout his career, he has served as a professor, Chair of the Department of Basic Sciences at the PHSU School of Medicine, and Executive Scientific Director of PRI.
As a researcher and mentor, Dr. Noel leads the Molecular and Genomics Core, serves as a Principal Investigator (Contact) for RCMI, and is a Core Leader for the Strategic Pipeline for Academic Research Career Success (SPARCS).
His longstanding commitment to advancing biomedical research, supporting the next generation of scientists, and strengthening research opportunities within our institution makes him an exceptional leader for this next chapter of PRI.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Kenira Thompson for her years of dedicated leadership and service to the Ponce Research Institute. We are grateful for her contributions to PRI and wish her continued success in her new role as President of Ponce Health Sciences University.
