In the third episode of our Oasis Art Program series, Puerto Rican artist Héctor Soto, known as Ekosaurio, shares the story behind his piece at Oasis Santurce.

Inspired by the island's vegetation and flora, the mural was his way of bringing a piece of nature, and the joy that comes with it, into the everyday rhythm of the office.

For Ekosaurio, the work is also a reflection of home: a nod to Santurce's long history as a place where art has always found its way into public spaces, and to what it means to be an islander surrounded by color.

This is another glimpse into the stories behind the murals bringing new life to Oasis Santurce.
