صغيرٌ في السن.. كبيرٌ في التحدي 🦾❤️
مالك عويضة، طفل يبلغ ثلاثة أعوام فقط، يحمل في خطواته الصغيرة حكاية أكبر من عمره.
فقد مالك ساقه بعد إصابته بترٍ أسفل الركبة في قصف إسرائيلي خلال حرب الإبادة الجماعية على غزة، وفقد والدته، فيما أُصيب والده وبُترت قدماه، إحداهما فوق الركبة والأخرى فوقها. وبين هذه الخسارات الكبيرة، ما زال مالك يتعلم كيف يقف ويمشي ويلعب من جديد.
في مركز الأطراف الصناعية والشلل (ALPC)، نرافق مالك في خطواته الأولى بطرفه الصناعي، ونحاول أن نمنحه شيئًا يستحقه كل طفل: فرصة لأن يعيش طفولته، وأن يكبر وهو يعرف أن ما فقده لا يعني أن أحلامه انتهت.
مالك صغير في السن، لكنه كبير في التحدي والإرادة. ❤️🩹🦾

Small in Age… Strong in Courage 🦾❤️
Malek Oweida, just three years old, carries in his little steps a story far greater than his age.
Malek lost his leg after sustaining an amputation below the knee following an Israeli airstrike during the war on Gaza. He also lost his mother, while his father was injured and underwent bilateral lower-limb amputations, one above the knee and the other below the knee. Amid these profound losses, Malek is still learning how to stand, walk, and play again.
At the Artificial Limbs and Polio Center (ALPC), we accompany Malek through his first steps with his prosthetic limb, striving to give him what every child deserves: the chance to experience childhood and grow up knowing that what he has lost does not mean his dreams have to end.
Malek may be small in age, but he is great in courage and determination. ❤️🩹🦾
