استقبل مركز جبل النجمة للتأهيل وفدا من الممثلية الألمانية، والوزارة الاتحادية الألمانية للتعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية (BMZ)، وبنك التنمية الألماني(KfW) والمؤسسة الألمانية للتعاون الدولي (GIZ) وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي (UNDP) وذلك للاطلاع على مشاريع البنية التحتية المنفذة من قبل برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي وبدعم من بنك التنمية الألماني (KfW) إضافة إلى المشاريع السابقة التي جرى تمويلها من قبل GIZ .
وقد أجرت الجولة السيدة رانية كرم، مديرة مركز جبل النجمة للتأهيل، حيث قدمت للوفود لمحة تعريفية عن المركز وتاريخه ومسيرته في تقديم خدمات التأهيل للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة إلى جانب استعراض برامجه ومشاريعه المختلفة.
وتضمنت الجولة التعريف بمشروع ترميم وإعادة تأهيل مبنى الإدارة والتخصصات العلاجية، ومبنى الحضانة الدامجة، إضافة إلى مشروع بيت الحماية للفتيات والنساء والأطفال ذوي الإعاقة المعنفين، والذي جرى الانتهاء مؤخرا من أعمال تشطيبه، ليشكل إضافة نوعية لمنظومة الحماية والخدمات المتخصصة، حيث سيكون هذا البيت الأول من نوعه في فلسطين.
كما جرى التطرق إلى عدد من المشاريع السابقة المنفذة بدعم من GIZ، ومنها:
• مشروع دمج الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة على المستوى المحلي
• مشروع الإرشاد النفسي والاجتماعي استجابة لجائحة كورونا
• مشروع تعزيز الشمولية في المجتمعات من خلال المواطنة الصالحة
ويأتي هذا اللقاء في إطار تعزيز الشراكة والتعاون المشترك، ودعم الجهود الرامية إلى تطوير خدمات التأهيل والحماية والدمج للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في فلسطين.
Star Mountain Rehabilitation Center (SMRC) welcomed a delegation from the German Representative Office, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the German Development Bank (KfW), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The visit aimed to review the infrastructure projects implemented by UNDP with financial support from KfW, as well as previously funded projects supported by GIZ.
The tour was led by Mrs. Ranya Karam, Director of SMRC, who provided the delegation with an overview of SMRC, its history, and its longstanding journey in delivering rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities. She also highlighted SMRC’s various programs and projects aimed at promoting inclusion, empowerment, and access to quality services.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to several key development projects, including the renovation and rehabilitation of the Administration and Therapy Services Building, the Inclusive Kindergarten Building, and the Safe Shelter for girls, women, and children with disabilities who are survivors of violence. The Safe Shelter, whose finishing works were recently completed, represents a significant addition to the protection and specialized service system in Palestine and will be the first facility of its kind in the country.
The delegation also received an overview of several previously implemented GIZ-supported projects, including:
• Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities at the Local Level
• Psycho-Social Counselling in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
• Fostering Inclusive Communities Through Good Citizenship
The visit reflects the strong partnership and ongoing cooperation between SMRC and its international partners, as well as their shared commitment to advancing rehabilitation, protection, and inclusion services for persons with disabilities across Palestine.
