That’s a WRAP on our Twinnet Exchange Programme 2026!💃

IPSA was delighted to welcome students from Coimbra, Portugal🇵🇹 to Dublin, Ireland🇮🇪

Students had the chance to explore the beautiful streets of Dublin City, visit the iconic Book of Kells at Trinity College Dublin and the opportunity to experience the rich history, culture and energy of our capital☘️

They also enjoyed traditional Irish food, walked through many of Dublin’s most well known attractions and took part in a range of inspiring talks with colleagues from TCD, RCSI, Boots and the Irish Medicines Verification Organisation!

It was an enjoyable week of learning, connection and shared experiences! We are very grateful to our committee members on IPSA and various colleagues who helped make it happen.

A huge thank you to Ascella Health, The Irish Medicines Verification Organisation and Xpress Health for their sponsorship and support throughout the exchange. Your contribution made this experience possible and is truly appreciated!

The time has come for the 2026 IPSA AGM! 💊
This is an exciting opportunity to run for a position on the 2026/27 IPSA Committee.

📅 The AGM will be held on Wednesday May 27th at 7:30 PM via Zoom (a link will be sent out beforehand)

If a position is contested, applicants will be given 30 seconds to speak about why they would like to be elected.

All pharmacy students in Ireland who would like to support and advocate for pharmacy students on a national and global scale are encouraged to apply. This is an exciting chance to build on your skills, meet new people and try something different.

Keep an eye on our social media in the coming days for information about committee roles.

📢 Don’t miss out on the IPU National Pharmacy Conference! 💊

It will be happening on Saturday 9, May in the Mount Wolseley Hotel in Carlow.

This is a great chance to network with peers and future colleagues from across the country. Expect engaging discussions, speakers and the Great Debate, all with this year’s theme: ‘Reimagining Community Care - The Era of Opportunity’.

Our students are still reminiscing on an incredible week in Portugal as part of the Twinnet Exchange Programme 🇵🇹✨

From exploring the beautiful streets of Porto to spending the week in Coimbra, they had the opportunity to visit the University’s Faculty of Pharmacy, attend a fascinating lecture on nitric oxide signalling in the brain by Professor Joāo Laranjinha, tour a community pharmacy and Bluepharma pharmaceutical plant, and learn about the rich history and traditions of the University of Coimbra.

They also experienced Portuguese culture through traditional music, food, student traditions, and finished up exploring the city of Lisbon together!

A huge thank you to the Twinnet committee for organising such an amazing exchange, and to the students of Coimbra and the people of Portugal for the incredibly warm welcome. You made everyone feel like true Coimbra students by the end of the week 🇵🇹❤️‍🔥

We celebrate the women shaping science and healthcare around the world from pioneers like Marie Curie and Marie Maynard Daly to leaders today such as Emer Cooke and Hayat Sindi.

Today, we recognise women across the globe who are standing up for their healthcare rights and working to ensure safe and accessible care for all 🌍

Young pharmacists from across Europe came together with a shared purpose of shaping the future of pharmacy 🇪🇺

Members of the IPSA were proud to stand alongside representatives from Belgium, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and Switzerland as a Memorandum of Understanding was signed.

We share a commitment to work together, align our goals and amplify the voices of young pharmacists across Europe 🌍
