This summer we’re delighted to be working with Dani, who will be creating the beautiful meals our guests will enjoy throughout their stay.

For us, food is so much more than something eaten between activities. It brings people together around long tables, sparks conversations, creates connection and becomes part of the memories guests take home with them.

Inspired by the flavours, traditions and seasonal ingredients of Portugal, Dani creates thoughtful, beautifully prepared menus that celebrate everything we love about dining in the Algarve. Fresh, vibrant and full of character, her food reflects the care and attention that goes into every part of the retreat.

One of the highlights of every retreat for us is our wine tasting evening.

We never get tired of learning about Portuguese wine, and we love seeing our guests become curious about it too. From grape varieties and wine regions to production methods and tasting notes, there’s always something new to discover.

Thankfully, Sofia is a fountain of knowledge and always happy to answer every question that comes her way.

This is your reminder that lunch doesn’t have to be eaten at your desk. It can be enjoyed overlooking vineyards, with a glass of local wine in hand and nowhere else you need to be.

With just over three weeks to go until we welcome our July retreat guests to the Algarve, we’re looking forward to sharing moments like these once again.

When people think of our retreats, they often imagine Pilates, Yin yoga, good food and a chance to switch off.

And yes, there’s plenty of that.

But what our guests often talk about afterwards are the friendships they made, the laughter shared around the table, the beauty of the Algarve and the memories they take home with them.

We started Wellness Waves and Wine because we wanted to create the kind of retreat we’d love to go on ourselves.

When we both moved to the Algarve, we completely fell in love with the lifestyle here. The slower pace, the coastline, the food, the wine, the feeling of actually having time again. We also quickly realised we shared a love of Pilates, yoga and Portuguese wine, which turned out to be a pretty good foundation for both a friendship and eventually, a retreat company.

Beautiful but relaxed. Thoughtful movement, incredible local wine, meaningful connection and all the little details that make a retreat feel effortless, welcoming and special.

We’re so proud of what Wellness Waves and Wine has grown into and of the lovely feedback we’ve received from past guests. We can’t wait to welcome more of you to the Algarve with us.
