REFLEXOTÔNICO CERVICAL
(Reflexo tônico-cervical de Magnus e De Kleijn, ou reflexo do esgrimista). É desencadeado por rotação da cabeça enquanto a outra mão do examinador estabiliza o tronco do RN. Observa-se extensão do membro superior ipsilateral à rotação e flexão do membro superior contralateral.
- Isso geralmente é chamado de posição de "esgrima". O reflexo tônico cervical dura cerca de 6 a 7 meses, em prematuros levará mais tempo, considerando a idade corrida. Quando este reflexo ultrapassar o período é necessário que haja uma investigação na saúde deste bebê, como também, a monitorização dos risco para atrasos no seu desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor, garantido assim a estimulação necessária precocemente.

CERVICAL REFLEXOTON
(Magnus and De Kleijn tonic-cervical reflex, or fencer's reflex). It is triggered by rotation of the head while the examiner's other hand stabilizes the NB's trunk. Extension of the upper limb ipsilateral to rotation and flexion of the contralateral upper limb is observed.
- This is often called the "fencing" position. The tonic cervical reflex lasts about 6 to 7 months, in preterm infants it will take longer, considering the race age. When this reflex exceeds the period, there must be an investigation into the health of this baby, as well as the monitoring of the risk for delays in their neuropsychomotor development, thus ensuring the necessary stimulation early.
