Birth doesn’t have to be about forceful pushing.
Your body already knows how to birth your baby. During contractions, breathing your baby down and out — instead of holding your breath and straining — allows the pelvic floor to soften, open, and work with your body instead of against it.
Forceful coached pushing can increase the risk of:
• tearing
• pelvic floor damage
• hemorrhoids
• prolapse
• exhaustion for mum and baby
Gentle, instinctive breathing creates less pressure, more oxygen for baby, and often a calmer, safer birth experience.
Birth is not about fighting your body.
It’s about listening to it. 🤍
Slow down. Breathe deeply. Trust the waves. Your body was designed for this.
