Most of the time, motivation doesn’t come first.
You start… and then the motivation follows.

The hardest part is to start: getting up to join an online class, or putting trainers on and stepping outside...
Once you start, you’ll feel better!!!

This Bank Holiday Monday, you don’t need loads of energy. You just need to start or show up, for 10, 30 minutes… or longer.

Get your shoes or your yoga mat. Move your body and let the feeling catch up after ✨

It’s really that simple!!!!

Two years ago with these beautiful ladies, co-facilitating a Breathwork Foundation course together ✨

It was so good to spend time together and share our passion for the breath, transformation, and creating spaces for people to reconnect with themselves.

Our next Breathwork Foundation course here in Portugal will be at the end of October. We’d love to have you here.

Some reviews touch you more than others. These two did.
One of the things that meant the most to me was reading that this is not a “dumbed down” version of yoga.
Because it isn’t. ❤️

I’ve spent more than 25 years observing how MS affects my body and mind. Studying. Experimenting. Learning through experience what helps, what doesn't, what supports mobility, strength, and confidence.
Over time, I developed my own approach to yoga for MS. It is NOT a simplified version of yoga. It is a version enriched by lived experience, practice, and years of listening closely to my body.
So when someone recognises that, it truly means a lot.

SHAKE FOR 30 SECONDS.
Then, stop completely. Watch what happens next.

Can you feel your heart beginning to slow down? Your breath deepening?
You didn’t ‘order’ your body to do that. This is your somatic intelligence: the body’s naturally returning to balance.
Just like an ecosystem restores itself after a storm, our nervous system is hardwired to return to balance. It knows exactly how to let go of stress and bring you home to yourself….
Unless the stress becomes chronic…

One of the reasons I focus on interoception in my yoga retreats is because it can change the way we experience fatigue and brain fog, especially in MS and ageing.

Interoception is the ability to sense signals from within the body: breath, tension, heartbeat, energy, stress, calm.

When the brain struggles to interpret these signals, it has to work harder to regulate and respond. That extra effort can contribute to fatigue and cognitive overload.

The more we practise sensing and understanding internal signals, the more we support our nervous system, the clearer our mind and the more energy we have.

This is why our retreats focus on listening to the body. And this is also why I created an online class to Reconnect with your body!

Our body is not the enemy…
It is an intelligent ecosystem, constantly adapting, re-organising in an effort to keep us safe.

Yes it might get ‘confused’, slow to adapt etc but its intentions are good…

Your body is not a machine you can push or “hack” without consequences. It’s an intelligent, adaptive ecosystem, constantly communicating, adjusting, and protecting you.
That tension you notice when extending the arm? It’s a message.
That fatigue you feel when you push too hard? It’s a signal.
When you need to rest or move, to stay still? These are signs of wisdom.
When you start listening instead of imposing, your energy becomes more stable. Your recovery becomes deeper. Your relationship with yourself becomes more honest.
Your body isn’t working against you. It’s working for you, if you let it.
