❗We understand how vulnerable it can feel to return home after surgery in another country, especially when questions or unexpected symptoms arise during recovery.
📩Our patients remain in direct contact with the team after leaving Bucharest. Whether the concern is related to a postoperative symptom, medication, or the progression of recovery, communication does not end when the patient returns home.
🤳Dr. Gabriel Mitroi also maintains open communication with local doctors whenever collaboration is needed. Surgical reports, operative findings, and relevant medical information can be shared so that follow-up care reflects what was actually found and treated during surgery.
❗Complications are uncommon, but they are part of any honest discussion about complex surgery. If a problem occurs after a patient has returned home, we work together with the local medical team to clarify the situation and provide specific input related to complex endometriosis surgery or neuropelveology.
🎗Sometimes persistent symptoms mean that a patient has reached the limits of a conventional approach, not the limits of available options. Continuity of care matters especially in these complex cases, and our involvement does not end when the surgery is over.

💔At 16, she was told she might never be able to have children. For years, endometriosis shaped the way she imagined her future.

🐈After surgery, she named her cat after Dr. Mitroi and called her “our firstborn”, because at the time, she still didn’t know whether a baby would ever be part of that future.

👶Three years later, so much has changed. She got married, became a mother, and on August 4 she celebrated three years since the surgery that changed the course of her life.

❤️We were deeply touched to hear from her again and to see how much life has unfolded since then.

🎗️After surgery, most patients just want this chapter of their lives to be over, especially if they feel like they have a new, pain-free life ahead of them. The fact that we never see a patient again, or that we stop hearing from them after surgery, is a wonderful thing! It means they are busy living their best life.
✨But some patients feel the need to keep in touch and share moments of their lives with us. These are the kind of news we love to share! "A new life" takes on a different meaning when you are endo-free and your dream of becoming a mother comes true!

🎗For many patients, their journey with Bucharest Endometriosis Center begins long before they arrive in Romania. It starts with an email, a medical report, or a question that often comes after years of pain and uncertainty.
🌎Once patients arrive in Bucharest, Manuela, our Patient Manager, becomes the person who helps coordinate every step of their stay. From appointments and investigations to surgery and recovery, she ensures that patients feel informed, supported, and cared for throughout the entire process.
👩‍🦰Long before that journey begins, many patients get to know Claudia. She is responsible for the relationship with our international patients before they travel to Romania. Through countless emails, phone calls, and conversations that sometimes span several months, she helps patients understand their options, gathers medical information, and makes sure that distance and language never become barriers to care.
✨When patients arrive in Bucharest, many of them also meet Raluca, our Patient Navigator. Unlike anyone else on our team, Raluca knows this journey not only professionally, but personally. She lived with endometriosis, underwent multiple surgeries, and was treated by our team six years ago. She has been where our patients are today and she proudly considers herself a 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧 endometriosis patient!
Because she has lived through endometriosis herself, she can offer something that goes beyond guidance: true understanding. She spends time with patients after surgery, answers questions, shares her experience, and helps them navigate recovery with confidence and reassurance.
