It is with huge sadness, that I have to announce, that my kind hearted husband - an amazing IVF Doctor - that gave all his work passion, time and energy to his patients, has passed away from a battle with cancer on the 10th May. For all patients who could not reach him during the past year - I say sorry......he would have loved to care for you some longer! May he Rest In Peace 🙏🏻

Whoever got treated by him and wants to put up a post of appreciation for him, is most welcome to do so here on his page! I will keep it open to remember him.

Could this gene explain the male infertility crisis? Scientists discover DNA errors that hamper s***m in mice - and it could provide answers for humans

The gene, XRCC1, is crucial for s***m development, to ensure a high s***m count, swift motility, normal shape, and solid concentration. Chinese scientists show it is lacking in infertile mice.

Pregnancy, 9 Months in 4 Minutes
The unseen power of life

Not so good for "business", but great news for my clients!
:)
A couple of months ago, my colleagues referred to me, 3 couples who were trying to get pregnant.
After their initial visit to my clinic, interviews, medical history taking, tests requested and advice on how to improve their chances of getting pregnant, they all phoned to cancel their follow up appointments because they all missed their periods and all three couples were pregnant spontaneously!
Earlier this month, I had a visit from a couple who had had their first baby through IVF with me a few years ago. They arrived at my clinic on the day of the expected day of menstruation to run tests and start another IVF cycle. A quick pregnancy test turned out positive. Yesterday, an ultrasound confirmed a 6 wks viable spontaneous pregnancy!

We are always very pleased to hear such stories. However, this could have ended very very badly and despite the happy ending, their decision was highly risky.
Three babies out of 2 embryos means that there was a pair of identical twins in there.
Miscarriage would have been the least of her doctors' concerns.
We had a similar case once, that I will never forget, who ended up with 3 CP babies, because of TTTS ending up with the emergency delivery of the triplets at 26 weeks!
:'(
Doctors told them to choose between abortion or risk of miscarriage: instead, they chose life 👶 👶 👶 ❤️

Did You Know That the Female Egg Chooses the S***m and Not the Other Way Around?
:)

Eggs meet s***m, fertilization occurs, babies are formed. Simple? Not really! Get introduced to the notion of feminine receptivity, or the freedom of choice for women. Narrowing it further, the female eggs actually do choose. As believed by Scott Gilbert, developmental biologist at Swarthmore Colleg...

This is me Khaled with baby Khaled immediately after delivering him.
His mom was 47 when she had her sixth IVF-ICSI and delivered him when she was 48.
She was the oldest lady that I have ever treated and succeeded in helping her become pregnant.
She is also probably one of a small number of women around the world to ever become pregnant through IVF using her own eggs at her age.
