This month serves as a reminder of the importance of fostering healthcare environments where every individual is treated fairly, respectfully, and without judgment.

As the regulator of allied health professionals, the Council remains committed to maintaining a workforce that delivers safe, non-discriminatory, and accountable care. Professional conduct, respect for all patients, and adherence to ethical standards are essential to ensuring that no individual is denied or discouraged from seeking the services they need.

Together, we can uphold a healthcare environment where every individual feels safe, valued, and supported.

Earlier this year, representatives of the Health Professionals Council attended the national validation workshop hosted by the Seychelles Qualifications Authority (SQA) on the referencing of the Seychelles National Qualifications Framework to the African Continental Qualifications Framework (ACQF).

The workshop brought together stakeholders from government ministries, education and training institutions, professional bodies and councils, and civil society to review and validate the national referencing report. This initiative supports the recognition of Seychelles' qualifications across Africa, facilitates the mobility of learners and professionals, and strengthens confidence in education and training systems.

As a regulatory body, the Council recognises the importance of robust qualification frameworks in supporting professional registration, workforce mobility, and public confidence in regulated health professions.
