Taiji is a mind-body practice that boosts happiness by combining slow, flowing movements with deep, focused breathing.

This combination lowers stress and anxiety, triggers the release of mood-elevating endorphins, and creates a meditative state of "flow".

All this from focused Taiji body movements in an alignement with your minds intent.

This is part of what we teach in our courses for trauma and our classes for wellbieng and longevity.

Taiji is possibly the single most effective holistic practice tool available to the public in these troubled days.

Tai Chi is a martial art, not a health system is shouted from many rooftops of Tai Chi teachers these days.

Is that true? Not really. Taiji Quan, the fist of Taiji, came from Taoism, Taoism did not come from Taiji Quan, and you can read below what true Taoism actually consists of;

True Ancient Taoism the original form not the later convoluted forms, is actually about learning practical Taoist tools for enhancing your health, your wellbeing and your personal empowerment.

It is also results in you obtaining a level of wisdom and understanding of how to live life.

Practical Taoism can be roughly divided into 4 categories:

• Spirituality: This is not religious its actually self-cultivation connected to the growth and development of the essence and energetic potential of the body and mind
• Health and wellbeing: Care and development of your body. Its systems, its energetic footprint and the quality of your living.
• Healing: This is medical and holistic remedial actions and tools to enable you to recover from illness, injury and trauma
• Martial Arts: A set of physical and energetic tools to strengthen your body using martial principles and a set of tools to protect yourself in physical conflicts.

All of these aspects of true Taoism overlap to form one whole entity of living as a human being, and THAT is what Tai Chi actually is, and that is what we teach at the Tai Chi Rebel schools.

Everything under heaven is a sacred vessel and cannot be controlled. Trying to control leads to ruin. Trying to grasp, we lose.” - Tao Te Ching, Chapter 29

Do not try to control anything, instead harmonise with whatever is within your environment. The harder you try to control the easier it escapes you. Look for flow, look for harmony, even in the harshest climate, there can be an element of harmony and from that pearl of harmony can grow true peace.

In our school, we teach harmony, not fighting with disharmony. We teach you how to harmonise, flow and rise above. Not how to clash, dominate and control!
