I spent this past weekend in a live-streamed retreat called ”Recreating Songlines from Trauma Trails: Weaving Indigenous Wisdom, Somatic Experiencing and Collective Healing”.
It feels like tears were streaming down my face through most of the weekend, and I came out the other side in awe. Reconnected to parts of me that had been waiting for my attention, now finally met, witnessed, and tended to.
It touched something so deep in me.
A reminder of our connection to Country (a term used by Aboriginal peoples to describe the land, Nature, the place we belong to) and how healing doesn’t only happen within us, but in relationship with it.
We are not separate from it.
- Can you feel it?
I was also reminded of the importance of completing what we open when we touch pain, through ritual… to not carry it all alone, but letting the land hold it for us.
We are Nature.
I’m still letting it all land…while enjoying my connection to the land I’m, at this moment, is being part of.
What is your relationship to the land you live on, to Nature? I’d love to hear your experiences of connecting, healing, and growing in relationship with it.
Love and gratitude,
Malin
