Out of Office: 2/7 – 2/8 🚐☮️🦮

I’m taking a little break from social media and heading out on the road with my girl for a while! But before I unplug, I wanted to leave you with an update straight from the heart. ✨

Every time I take a step back, I’m overwhelmed by your kindness. There is so much beauty in the simple stuff—relaxed people, ocean dips, and a hot sauna. The willingness of this community to help has been magical. Thank you to everyone who dropped by, shared a session, or just came to chitchat. I love it all!

👀 Looking Ahead: Autumn at Västra Hamnen 🌊
I want to be totally transparent about our process with Malmö stad (gatukontoret). Despite your AMAZING feedback, the city hasn’t found a way through the red tape just yet.
Because a long-term permit requires political approval (which can’t happen until after summer), the game plan is to apply for a regular sauna permit. The city counts this as an ”event,” meaning it’s capped at 2 weeks at a time. But my goal is to be right back out there by the ocean this September! 🤞🏼🔥

🫂 Why PAUS Matters
I truly believe what we’re doing here is special and is currently missing in Malmö. Unlike traditional saunas, our mobile wagon focuses strictly on total inclusion—requiring swimwear and offering a completely gender-neutral environment.

Malmö lacks a space where families, religious groups, or anyone uncomfortable with nudity can sauna together. I’m not competing with traditional facilities; we are filling a beautiful, essential gap by creating a true space of belonging. ❤️

🍀 In the quiet beauty of the nature reserve at Arriesjön, only 18 minutes from Malmö, we gather for a day where the pulse slows down and the senses open. Surrounded by water, forest and wide skies, PAUS Sauna Festival becomes a place to breathe, reconnect and simply enjoy the good sauna life - together.

🧖‍♀️ Here, different sauna experiences meet the raw calm of nature. Wood-fired warmth, gentle aromatics, guided sauna rituals, yoga, breathwork and refreshing dips in the lake, and moments of stillness blend into a full day of presence and wellbeing.

New for this years festival is that we’re offering an evening ticket 18-21 🌓

The love and support you’ve given me is absolutely incredible ♥️

I’m carrying all of that positive energy with me now as I enter a new dialogue with Malmö Stad about bringing bastu PAUS back to Västra Hamnen for an extended period starting this September 🔥

Every single comment and piece of feedback you’ve shared will be crucial in helping us secure a positive decision ♥️🫶

I’ll be sure to update you here as soon as I know what the future holds for bastu PAUS. With such a loving and caring community behind this, I truly feel that together we can create a beautiful, permanent swimwear-only sauna spot down here.

Help Bastu PAUS come back to Västra Hamnen this autumn! 🍂🔥

As I prepare our application to Malmö stad (Gatukontoret) to bring the sauna back, I’m reflecting on what made those 4–5 weeks at Scaniabadet and Daniaparken so special.

Bastu PAUS has never been just about the sauna. It’s about the people who stepped inside.
During these weeks I watched this little 5x3 -meter sauna become so much more than I ever imagined - a space for people to reconnect with each other, with themselves, and with strangers who became friends.

That’s why Bastu PAUS is never just about the sauna. It’s the culture it brings. The life it creates. The community it builds. The souls it rejuvenates.

And now, your stories and experiences are exactly what I want to share with Malmö Stad.

When the city reviews our permit, they want to know what this space truly means to the residents of Malmö and how it benefits everyday life here. They need to hear about the experiences you’ve shared with me:

🔹 A swimwear-friendly space for everyone: So many of you told me how grateful you were for our strict swimwear-only policy. Families, couples, and people from different cultural and religious backgrounds finally found a sauna in Malmö where they felt fully comfortable, included, and respected.

🔹 A true mind & body boost: I’m so happy to see how much you appreciated our guided sauna rituals and the deep, peaceful calm they bring. Together, we’ve created a space where we can all finally hit pause, step away from the noise, and take the time to truly rest.

🔹 Real connection: A rare, mobile-free space where neighbors became friends and newcomers felt welcomed to Malmö.

I want nothing more than to see you all again this autumn, but I need your help to show the city why this matters.
