Isa Olsson I'm a creative gym owner, trainer, visionary and maker of things! Always learning, never comfortable

I would like to set up a (free) small “mastermind” for small biz owners who need other peers to discuss business development with. I’m not planning to coach anyone or wanting to be coached, just create a forum for accountability, creativity, and development.

Things to discuss might be product/service development, branding, marketing strategies, financial strategy, staff, and so one. Also a forum for testing and exploring ideas. Ideally, everyone in the group wants to both pitch in on other people's ideas, as well as receive feedback on their own. So no silent seats.

Who would be up for that?

Nu letar vi efter dig som är flexibel, träningsintresserad och vill växa i ett team!

Dessa tre delar skulle motsvara våra drömmar;

- Receptionist
- Tränare
- Onlinecoach

Beroende på hur väl du passar in med dessa tre delar så kan vi erbjuda dig mer eller mindre tid hos oss. Vi expanderar för tillfället främst online, och behöver god kompetent personal på området!

Driven och kompetent = mer arbetstid!

Had a rough day yesterday, went to sun bed, came home, took of clothes, passed mirror to jump into shower. SPOT ABS. Immediate selfie break 📸🤤

I feel like I don’t “deserve” them, because I train very little, haven’t had a protein shake in forever, I’m not paying too much attention to what I put in my mouth and I’ve just been happy with my body the way it’s been lately.

The big difference is I have reduced stress A LOT. And changed my environment drastically. Removed unnecessary stressors, dealt with a f*ckton of feelings and dared to look at my inner darkness (and shared it). Both my mind and my body seem to respond really well to it. Despite not having trained much lately, I still feel strong and like I know every cell in my body. For me, that’s pretty magical.

I really do love my body, for what it can do, and also the way it looks. I’m proud of myself. ♥️

Also, on the topic of emotions. First I felt really guilty about posting this. Because I’m not all about abs and leanness and being “fit”. I love happy people. Not fat free people.

I wanted to share because I think the emotional aspect of my recent changes has greatly contributed to the status of THE LOOK AND FEEL of my body.

I hope that this doesn’t trigger anybody to feel any negative emotions towards their own body. You are you, and you are beautiful too. ☀️

The glamorous life of a gym owner 🌈 I am never tired. I always have time. I have loads of money 🤔 I think maybe I misspelled those last statements... They are all opposites.

But there are some things that I DO have, things that money can’t buy. I have the best family. I have amazing friends around me. I have a skilled and motivated team. I have an amazing facility that I’m very proud of. I have met so many amazing people along the journey, I can’t even count them all.

I have all the love I could ever ask for. Every day, my heart fills up. But sure, yes, it IS very hard. Love is hard. When you love what you do it’s gonna suck to be you at times. Because when people you care about feel bad, YOU will feel bad. When your life work is struggling, it’s gonna hurt. You’ll cry from good times and bad times. And you will love it. I fu***ng love it. ♥️

How difficult can it be?

I’ve always liked having control and knowing what I’m doing. Starting up my company, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Ever since then, I’ve gained control, and I’ve lost it. It’s like a battle between “oh I think all is ok now”, “ermagerd this is boring we need to do moaaar” and “oh s**t I’m not sure I was ready to jump off this cliff”.

My personalities are all blessings, and curses, all mixed into one little brain, that sometimes cracks and blows up.

I feel like Gollum, drawn to the ring, lusting for it in the shadows, but also feel like Sméagol, I want peace and safety. But damn safety is boring. I’d rather go after the ring. The One.

I stand on the brink of big possibilities - a year that can (and will) be my best ever business year. Despite the feelings of insecurity and longing for safety, I can wait to jump, jump jump jump, before I even get a chance to say stop.

Because once your feet leaves the ground...you gotta trust your magic.

On making a change

Had this little fellow in my pocket all day today. I’ve been meaning to for days, but just forgot and forgot and forgot. It’s an assignment from my brain coach, , who’s helping me disentangle my thoughts and way of thinking.

I meet up with Susanna every other week for about two hours, and we’re doing it for six months. Over these 24 hours we’ll be working through a bunch of stuff. We’re just beginning to enter interesting areas like habits and beliefs. My last assignment was identifying habits, good and bad (so hard - it’s difficult to self scan!). I have many habits I judge to be bad, and few I think are good. But maybe it’s harder to identify the good ones, since that’s just the way things should be? Things you feel bad about in some ways are so much easier to identify. They come at you and say hello even when you’re not trying to identify them and write them down.

Anyways, this latest lesson was about beliefs, which are deeply rooted in your mind. I already know I have some issues in the belief department, such as “I don’t know enough”, “I should be better”, “I should do more” and also classic money beliefs that doesn’t really serve me. I WANT to do so many things and so much, so I’m pretty much reinforcing my not-so-great beliefs when I go after my projects... I have a hard time just chilling out and relax, even for short periods. And when it comes to the money thing, I am not good at asking for my for my services. I sometimes let other people’s opinions color my value of something, and that is not a good belief to have.

Back to today. The rock was to be carried with me all day, and it would symbolize my beliefs for this full day. Whenever I did something, conscious or by habit, I would pause and reflect over if that was me talking/deciding or if it was my set of beliefs.

I think I have experienced some sort of placebo effect today, as talking about money and financial decisions didn’t feel at all that difficult or impossible or scary. So perhaps I should carry this rock around more often! I also finished work in good time today and didn’t work at all after dinner (which is rare for me). Perhaps this was just the type of mind trick I needed to be able to reflect and achieve change?

In many ways I love science, but when it comes to good effects from fluffy stuff, I don’t mind them at all if they work on me. The brain is fascinating in the way that it’s rarely predictable - depending on our past experience, beliefs and expectations, we will all get different results from different challenges. Like this rock. It could work for 2% of people, or 67%. Don’t know, don’t care. For me it felt quite symbolic and I was a lot more aware of my way of thinking and my decisions during the day.

All in all - interesting experiment. It will be interesting to see deep we get into this brain during tomorrow’s session!

(Evening rant) About giving a f**k

I have been tired, spent and drained for the last few months, and I can’t really come to terms with the emotions around that fact that all coexist inside me. Go to sleep, sleep away the day (which actually never happens, but there’s still a voice saying it), and the eternal GO GO GO, born from optimism and excitement and gratitude for all the opportunities that are available to me. It’s like these two doesn’t even try to get along either, they’re always fighting (they should totally break up).

Tonight I came across a column about how everybody nowadays burn themselves out (it’s the new black), and I can definitely relate to a lot of these symptoms and stories. The columnist suggested we stop giving a f**k about things, and asked “what will you not give a s**t about this year?”. At first I thought it fascinating and interesting - yes, I would LOVE to not give a f**k about so many things. I read 100’s of replies, and most people don’t give a f**k about answering their phones (+1), cleaning and wearing makeup. But they also don’t want to cook or exercise. Or spend time with their friends. And as I read on I realized that most of these people aren’t keeping their f**ks for themselves, they don’t give a f**k about their own health/state/mind. Hello. Let’s give the f**ks to ourselves first of all, and when we’ve had enough we can start giving them away.

I couldn’t really think of anything to not give a f**k about. I tried, and came up with the same vague and boring replies as others - less cleaning bla bla bla. But you know what? It’s not because I think that would make me have more energy for other activities. It’s because I’m lazy like that and I’d prefer not to. But, when the house is clean I feel great! So why would I want to take away something that is a, low skill (no brain involved) and b, allows me to function better and makes my life easier.

The logic is flawed. Take away things that really make a difference instead. Remove toxic friends, make sure your environment allows for growth and say YES to yourself, by giving yourself time and attention. You should think that you deserve that. Train your body, train your mind, eat food you like and that is nutrient rich. Give yourself time for reflection, sleep and don’t say yes to attending all kinds of events.

Stay at home, pet a cat, read a book. Make your bed, get the Tupperware out, clean your bathroom. You’ll feel loads better for it.

Also, make sure that you fill your life with stuff that means something, so you never have to wonder what you shouldn’t give a f**k about. You should give a f**k about everything in your life, because if you don’t, you need to redesign your life.

Conversations 🌸

I’ve always cared for conversations. Like the real in depth ones, not small talk. Small talk gives me shivers. But sharing something meaningful with another person, isn’t it a bit like magic?

I’ve found myself engaging more and more in conversation for the last week, with some really amazing people. Not irl, but online, just starting a conversation, and then it ended up in a completely different place.

I love that about conversations, and I love that about people. I’m going to give myself a challenge - to start a conversation every week with someone I look up to. Like a real one, not just “omg you’re amazeee!!”.

Looking forward to get going 🌸
