In relationships:
It's not what you fighting ABOUT- it's what you're fighting FOR!!
In relationships it's 3 things behind the " fights" that we " want" or " lack":
1. Power and control ( who decided, who's thinking and thoughts are the most important?)
2. Closeness and care ( do I have your back, are you beside me, can I open up/ trust, do I have your support?)
3. Respect and recognition- (do I matter, do you value me , am I in your orbit?)
These 3 things is ofcourse grounded in my background story..
Maybe you had a dominant father/mother when you grew up, then maybe in your current relationship you feel the urge to be " the boss" since you always got dominated as a child?
Like make up for old s**t, like no one is gonna put me down?...
You're now fighting FOR respect and recognistion... because you didn't get it as a child...
