When I got diagnosed with PCOS and lost my period, I was so confused.

One day coffee was bad.
The next day stress was the problem.
Then someone said I needed supplements.
Another said I needed to train harder.
Then suddenly exercise was “too stressful” for hormones.

I genuinely felt like being healthy as a woman had become a full time job.

But eventually I realised something important:

Hormone balance isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about supporting your body consistently.

Today:
I drink coffee.
I drink alcohol sometimes.
I don’t work out every day.
I’m definitely not perfect.

But I move my body.
I eat well most of the time.
I manage stress better.
I sleep more.
And I stopped treating my body like a machine.

Doesn’t it seem strange…
that eating real food is now called “dieting”?

At some point, we started believing that:
– cooking from scratch is extreme
– eating whole foods is restrictive
– prioritising nutrients is “too much”

But ultra-processed, sugar-loaded, low-nutrient food?
That’s normal.

For women, this isn’t about doing more —
it’s about understanding your body.

Your hormones naturally fluctuate throughout the month.
And what you eat can influence things like energy, mood, and how you feel day to day.

Not in a complicated way.
But in a way that adds up over time.

This isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about giving your body what it actually needs.

Real food isn’t a trend.
It’s the baseline we somehow forgot.

Most supplements aren’t made for women.

Not intentionally, but because research has been built around male biology.

But we know that our female bodies are not the same everyday, and that we feel very different the "PMS" week compared to Ovulation week.

So shouldn't your supplements support this?

I created Female Balance after years of struggling with hormonal imbalances and heavy PMS. Because there was no other options on the market at the time.

I've gone from having no period (hello PCOS), to having extremely painful periods to now having regular, pain-free periods.

They’re just buying products that were never designed properly.

I used to take everything.

Magnesium. Adaptogens. B-complex. “Hormone balance” blends.

And honestly? I didn’t feel much.

At one point I almost lost belief in supplements completely.

Until I started looking closer.
